| We are so excited to have a three year old Sunday School Class taught by Ms. Lindsay Pierce. The class is from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the nursery department (rm 1-B). Ms. Lindsay will be using the Hands-On Bible Curriculum which makes learning about Jesus really fun for our little ones. Lindsay just graduated from Marshall University with her teaching degree and we are really excited to have her as a Sunday School teacher. |
| "FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES FOR COUPLES" - A new 11 am Sunday School class study in the Multi-Purpose room. Are you and your spouse speaking the same language? Love is a many splendored thing and at times it is a very confusing thing, too. As people come is all varieties, shapes, and sizes, so do their choices of personal expressions of love. But more often than not, the giver and the receiver express love in to different ways. This can lead to misunderstanding, quarrels, and even divorce. Quality time, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, Physical Touch Dr. Gary Chapman identifies five basic languages of love and then guides couples towards a better understanding of their mates love language and in no time you will be able to effectively love and truly feel loved in return. | ADULT SMALL GROUPS We are currently offering some new small groups on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30. It is a great time for fellowship and to grow as a Christian. Come to the Fellowship Dinner at 5:45p.m. and stay for the various activities for everyone from babies to adults. The following groups will be offered for adults: 1. Bible study with Pastor Allen in the sanctuary. 2. One Month to Live led by Roger Vance. A study in which you are encouraged to stop wasting precious time and throw yourself into becoming the person God intended you to be. 3. First Place 4 Health led by Susie Stewart. This is a method of weight loss and healthy living. It is a Biblical approach which puts Christ first and improves every area of a person’s life. 4. Beth Moore’s The Inheritance led by Missy Browning. This is a topical study of Inheritance throughout God’s Word. Judy Roebuck will be leading the Divorce Care group again. Find help, discover hope, and experience healing through a Christ-centered group. Look for sign-up sheets in the hallway near the office and Nursery. | The College and Career class has begun a new NOOMA DVD Series. These video series take everyday events and examines them from a spiritual perspective. This class meets in the Parlor at 11:00 a.m. and would love to have some new faces. Milton Baptist has several classes to choose from and would like to invite everyone to join a class. It is a great way to grow in the Lord and find an encouraging support group. |
